Stord Hydrogen produces green hydrogen using water electrolysis. At our facility, we produce pressurized hydrogen for customers in transport, construction, industry and the maritime sector.
We also supply green hydrogen to the "Energy House" test center, where customers can carry out small-scale or full-scale tests in modern test laboratories. The hydrogen plant is an integral part of the gas production and storage facility associated with Energy House.
From Q2 2023, Stord Hydrogen AS's hydrogen plant entered into to normal operation. HYDS is operating on behalf of Stord Hydrogen AS. As operator and plant manager, HYDS takes care of the overall responsibility for safety and predictable operation of the hydrogen plant.

Vision & goals
Stord Hydrogen AS was established in 2021 and offers commercially pressurized green hydrogen as one of the first facilities in Norway. Stord hydrogen is thus at the forefront of the development towards making hydrogen an important energy carrier and contributor to the green shift. .

Operation of the facility
HYDS is the operator on behalf of Stord Hydrogen AS.
This entails overall responsibility for safe and predictable operations. The plant is monitored 24/7 through the operation center of our partner Sunnhordland Kraftlag. All technical services are carried out by our partner Alltec AS.
